I have read some of the Mark Batterson’s books and with Soulprint he does it again. Mark delivers a book that takes us to reflect and renew our relationship with God by discovering our identity and purpose.
Soulprint presents different events in David’s life and how his victories and past experiences helped him discovering his identity and accepting God’s calling for his life. David’s life was full of ups and downs and even though, he was a person after God’s heart. Through David’s life we learn that each past event is a step in preparation for future opportunities. The only way to redeem our past is to see it through God’s eyes and accept his unconditional love.
Mark reminds us that each of us are unique creatures, and that God’s destiny for our lives is unique, not based on what is happening in our lives or on someone else’s circumstances, but in an intimate relationship with him. Though God see us as his masterpiece, unfortunately some people don’t see themselves in such a way. Only when we discover our identity in Christ we find spiritual, emotional, relational, and intellectual freedom.
I recommend this book for those looking for renewing their relationship with God and entering into a new spiritual level. It is also a great tool for discussion groups.
I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group, in exchange for writing an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review.
